Assistant Youth Support Worker - Kingsteignton Youth Centre

Due to career promotion, KYC youth club is looking for a part -time assistant youth support worker for regular Wednesday night and occasional Friday youth club sessions for young people aged over 11 years.

Hours: 5 pm – 9.30 pm Weds/occasional Fridays

Salary: £9 per hour

Location: KYC, Broadway Road, Kingsteignton, TQ12 3EH

Start date: November 2017

KYC is a successful youth club in a modern, purpose built youth centre  in Kingsteignton, South Devon. 
We run activities in our sports hall, IT room, disco/pool room, art room, kitchen/lounge and meeting room and our youth club participates in annual events in the town.

We are looking for a mature, creative and energetic person who will help us expand our activities and increase our reach among young people in the community.
As a KYC youth support worker you will be working as part of a small team including volunteers, helping our youth leader to develop and run activities in KYC for young people aged 11-18 years. 
KYC aims to enhance young people’s self development through their participation in activities and discussions and their involvement in the running and decision making of the youth club.
Previous experience of working on a professional or voluntary basis with young people aged over 11 years is essential.
