This is a one day conference, which includes a mixture of presentations and workshops.  Key note speakers confirmed are: Professor Marian Brandon UEA.  Her research activity focuses on child protection, children’s views of child protection, family support and inter-agency working.  Edi Carmi – Consultant and Author of Operation Brooke and Dez Holmes – Director, Research in Practice.  

Conference Objectives:

• Develop a common understanding of risky behaviour
• Consider levels of risk and likely consequences
• Consider methods of effective risk management
• Recognise the role of the internet and social media in risky behaviour
• Listen to the experience of young people and what risk means to them
• Develop effective responses in young people
