Description :

Could you be our new Head of the Life Chance Trust?

A rare chance to lead and grow a thriving charity based in South Devon.

We are a relatively new charity on a mission to transform the life chances of young people (16-25) who’ve experienced social, emotional, behavioural, or educational difficulties as a result of childhood trauma and adversity.

Our founding Head of Trust will be moving on this summer, opening up an AMAZING opportunity for a highly motivated, compassionate, and determined charity leader, ready to co-pilot from our successful start-up into the next phase, embedding and growing high-impact services and support to meet our initial goal of transforming 25 young lives by 2025.

Things are in great shape so far, with a clear mandate and blueprint for an impactful youth charity, a very unified, capable, and committed team growing our mentoring, life skills and practical support, impressive early track record of attracting investment and donations, a committed and experienced Board of Trustees, and a whole lot more besides.

Our ideal candidate will blend inspiring leadership with capable project management and a passion for partnerships, as well as financial and team management and charity governance experience.

You’re purpose-driven, pragmatic, and energetic, ideally with prior of experience of nurturing a small organisation to grow. You don’t have to be an expert in childhood trauma, education, or youth work practice, but experience of working with young people is vital. This role offers huge scope to translate your knowledge and experience into exciting new opportunities for young people in need.

The rewards include a competitive salary, generous leave allowance, staff pension and cash medical plan, flexible working, and a warm, empowering, and inclusive organisation ethos. This is a fixed-term 2 year contract starting September 2023. Full-time, 37.5 hours / week (0.8 or 0.9 FTE considered).

Salary: £30-35k depending on experience. Hybrid working will be considered with 2-3 days per week office-based in South Devon.
