Employment type: Permanent

Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Salary: JNC AY 1-18 to AY 1-21 (£30,096.00 to £32,597.00)

What is the role?

  • To manage high quality youth work and teams - Barnstaple and Bideford Youth Centres (street / projects / Targeted / Digital Youth Work) 

  • Build positive partnerships and work collaboratively

  • Be enterprising, creative and dynamic

  • Plan and evaluate work for the purpose of learning and improving practice

  • Line manage, coach and ensure excellent support structures and communications

  • Must be able to travel independently of public transport

  • Must be willing to work occasional weekends

  • Must be able to work evenings and be flexible and dynamic

 

Who we’re looking for

About You:

  • Experienced Youth Worker - minimum qualification L3 Youth Work Certificate. Will be required to undertake the L3 youth work diploma.  L6 in Youth Work is desirable.

  • Passion for developing services to meet the needs and expectations of young people 

  • A great communicator who values and champions the ideas and contributions of others

  • Interest and commitment to helping young people develop media and music skills and interests

  • See the value in forward planning, measuring progress and authentic evaluation

  • Willing to learn new skills

  • People person, seeing the potential in others and helping them grow and develop

  • Collaborator 

  • Honest and authentic, willing to challenge and a champion of anti-oppressive practice
