What is the role?
To work as part of our Space Education Support Service team.

Delivering a range of high quality youth work to young people in youth centres, schools and community settings.

To work collaboratives with Space colleagues and partner agencies to support young people with lived care experiences and those with protected

Will need to be flexible and able to commit to meeting young people during school hours, in the evenings and occasional weekends.

Have the ability to travel to multiple locations including remote and rural settings.

Support other teams by covering youth work sessions when required.

Key Responsibilities: YOUTH WORK

Develop and deliver high quality, dynamic session plans and programmes
Ensure delivery of ESS standards, in line with Education Support Services aims and ethos
Bespoke 1:1 support and group work delivery in a range of settings
Delivering Youth Work in centres and on the streets

Core Tasks:

Work with colleagues to grow, develop and deliver the Education Support Service
Work with our Exeter Team to deliver and lead high quality youth work in centres
Work with our Exeter, East and Mid Devon Teams to deliver and lead street based youth work in communities
Work with the SPACE data analyst team and SPACE researcher to ensure that all work has robust evaluation, demonstrating the outcomes and impact of interventions.
Recognise, reward and celebrate young people's achievements, learning and successes. From the smallest first step, to reaching their goals and having the self belief to expand their aspirations.
Identify vulnerable young people early, in the context of their everyday lives.
Provide support for young people during transitions, for example moving on from school or from the support of one service to another as needs change.
Work with professionals and practitioners, demonstrating respect and understanding of differing agendas, disciplines, specialisms and roles.
Work at times that are conducive to the time tables and programmes - including daytimes, evenings and weekends where required.
Create, deliver and lead fun and engaging youth work sessions
