Purpose of Job
To work alongside the Adult Engagement & Wellbeing Coordinator to promote and provide a
range of adult services to LGBTQ+ people locally and further afield. To encourage and enable
members of the community to engage in the services provided and help break down barriers
to engagement and participation.


Key Responsibilities
To support the design and delivery of personal & social educational programmes and
projects that inspire LGBTQ+ people, capture their interests and meet their needs.
To be self-motivated and willing to try new things. A collaborative team member who puts
forward ideas and values everyone's contribution.
It is an essential part of this post (and any other Proud2Be role) that you be fiercely
committed to the freedom of all LGBTQ+ people, particularly those who face increased
discrimination from both inside and outside of the communit, including but not limited to
trans and/or non binary people, bi people, older people, disabled people, travellers, asylum
seekers & refugees, sex workers and POC.


Core Tasks
1. Work alongside Proud2Be’s adult engagement and wellbeing coordinator to provide
online and in-person groups, events and wellbeing courses in South Devon.

2. Support the facilitation of safe, inclusive and fun spaces for LGBTQ+ people to come
together

3. Facilitate 121 sessions with LGBTQ+ people who are referred into Proud2Be’s 121
support service and are assigned to you by the adult wellbeing and engagement
coordinator.

4. Work directly with LGBTQ+ people to develop their personal, social and education
development by providing programmes of activities and services. This will include
ensuring that participants have an opportunity to influence the planning, delivery
and evaluation of services

5. Work daytime, evenings; and weekends when required

6. Undertake tasks as requested and adhere to financial regulations and recording and
reporting procedures

7. Be a team player who is prepared to share ideas, have a go at new things and have
fun

8. Keep self and others safe by working to Proud2Be health and safety and safeguarding
procedures

9. Attend regular supervision and appraisal sessions, team meetings and work training
programmes in accordance with the level of the post

10. Promote group and other services at local events

11. Conform to Proud2Be policies, practice and standards

12. Actively commit to and promote Proud2Be values

13. Be flexible, dynamic and ready to adapt with this growing organisation

14. Be accountable to yourself, LGBTQ+ people and their families, all colleagues, our
directors, partners and other stakeholders

15. Please note that an enhanced DBS check will be required (the cost of which will be
covered by Proud2Be).
