SUPPORT STAFF VACANCIES

Who are we?
Pathfield Activities Club is an independent club for children and young people with additional needs, including severe learning and/or behavioural difficulties, aged between 5 to 25 years old.                                Based at Pathfield School in Barnstaple, the club provides a range of play, social and educational activities.

When?
Sessions run on Saturdays throughout the year and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays during the school holidays.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team to help support, encourage and enable our members to get the most out of their time at club – and to ensure their safety at all times.

Applicants must have good time-keeping, be physically able and willing to undertake manual handling training, have good communication skills; and a calm, patient, understanding and caring nature. 

An NVQ Level 2 in Children’s Care, Learning Development, or equivalent would be desirable although not essential. Previous experience of working in a similar setting would also be desirable but again is not essential.

What are the employment conditions?
Employment will be on a casual basis for 7 hours per day (from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30p.m.) with half an hour for lunch (paid) and holiday pay. Pay rate from 1.4.24 will be £11.50 per hour for 21 and over.
Support workers are able to choose which sessions they work - some work every session, others just the holidays. We can be very flexible depending on the time you are able to give.
