Supporting Devon’s Youth Potential

We want Devon to be a place where all children and young people are supported to achieve their full potential.

How we support

Established in 1964, VOYC Devon is a unique, independent network representing over 223 organisations across Devon that work with or support services for children and young people. As the only county-wide body of its kind, VOYC empowers youth organisations by enhancing their capacity to deliver high-quality, inclusive services for children and young people.

We are proud to support over 2000 settings across Devon that cater to children and young people. Our network includes a wide range of organisations, from small community groups to large charities, all working towards a common goal: to improve the lives of young people in our community.

What We Do

Practical
Support

We offer hands-on assistance to our member organisations, helping them navigate challenges and maximise their potential. This includes guidance on policies, governance, funding, safeguarding, and operational best practices.

Training and
Development

Our training programmes are designed to equip our members with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive. We deliver a variety of training courses relevant to the voluntary and community sector.

Networking
Opportunities

We encourage connections between organisations, and the sharing of best practices. Our regular training sessions and our annual conference provide valuable opportunities for members to network, learn from each other and build stronger partnerships.

Advocacy and Representation

We act as a voice for the sector, advocating on behalf of our members to ensure their needs and concerns are heard by policymakers and other stakeholders. We work to influence positive change and secure a better future for children and young people.
