Part Time Fundraising Officer – Balloons Child Bereavement Charity

Part Time Fundraising Officer - Salary : £25,000 p/a pro rata (actual salary £10,000 p/a).

Balloons is a small, local charity, providing support for children and young people aged 5 to 25 and their families before an expected death, or following the death, of someone significant in their lives.

We work directly with over 150 children and young people a year through pre- and post-bereavement support, and reach many more through our telephone advice to parents and carers, sending care packages and delivering training.

It is an exciting time to join Balloons as we look to grow and develop our fundraising so we can support more children and young people and build our sustainability for the future. This position will be Balloons first specific fundraising post and has initial funding for 2 years, after which, dependent on success, we hope to be able to make it a permanent position.

The successful candidate will be passionate about raising funds to support bereaved children and young people. You’ll be experienced in generating charitable income and able to demonstrate the ability to achieve results – going that extra mile to make a difference.

The role will involve working from the Balloons office in Pynes Hill in Exeter as well as out in the community, building relationships and visiting schools, businesses and community groups.

We are a small, supportive team. The successful candidate will need to be a team player as well as being comfortable with, and have experience of working autonomously. We are also open to conversations about flexible working.
