About the Charity:
The Sir Francis Chichester Trust is a charitable Trust set up in 1968 to commemorate Sir Francis Chichester’s solo circum-navigation of the world in his yacht ‘Gypsy Moth IV’. The Trust provides opportunities for between 20-30 disadvantaged young people, aged 16-22 years, living in Devon to attend a once in a lifetime Outward Bound summer residential course at centres across the UK. The Trust also seeks to make an annual award to a student of the School of Navigation in Plymouth, nominated by the University, in recognition of their educational achievement.

The Trust is looking to appoint a self-employed, part-time, Trust Manager to carry out and lead on the good work of this well-established, highly reputable Charity, on behalf of the Trustees. Hours are variable, averaging 2-3 hours per week (100 -150 hours per year) but with peaks and troughs throughout the year. The bulk of which involves working independently from home.
