About the job

Employment type: Fixed Term - One Year

Hours of work: 18.5 hours per week

Salary: JNC unqualified scale pt 9 - 10, qualified scale pt 10 - 13 (£23,739.00 - £27,681.00 FTE)

What is the role

  • Support young people to identify their strengths and resources - setting personal goals and challenges

  • Build and sustain positive relationships with young people and their families

  • Working as a team to maintain the quality of the service and to engage in reflection with peers to ensure service development and improvement

  • Flexible working pattern to meet the needs of young people and their families - including evenings and occasional weekends

  • Work closely with colleagues from a range of organisations, including hospital staff and mental health services

About You:  

  • Experienced youth worker or confident that you have the transferable skills required for the demands of the post

  • Leadership and confidence

  • Passion for supporting and advocating for the rights of young people

  • Creativity and solution focused thinking

  • Respectful with excellent empathy and kindness

  • Ability to multitask, set priorities and reachout when you need help and support

  • High commitment to continuous professional practice

  • A reflective practitioner
