Part time (8-16 hours/week, weekday evening sessions).
£12-13/hour depending upon qualifications and experience, plus holiday pay and on-going training and development
For 25 years now, the Bank Youth Project has provided an open-access youth centre in Ashburton for local young people age 9-19. We are currently looking for a male youth support work to balance our team. You would contribute to running a variety of activities and providing mentoring and support for local young people.
Our mission is to empower and support young people to improve their life opportunities by helping them grow both as individuals and as members of the community.
Ideally you would have a youth work or similar qualification or experience working with children and young people and an interest in their social, emotional and mental wellbeing. We can offer training and support.
Activities at our weekday evening sessions are varied, including sports, games, music, arts and crafts, discussions and debates, etc. depending on interests of members and the youth work team. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.
More information about BYP and a downloadable job description, person specification and application, are available on our website (see above).

BYP is currently supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.
The Bank Youth Project is committed to safeguarding children and young people, and all staff and volunteers who may have unsupervised access will complete the required checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
